about the studio

NEWBROUGH PIANO STUDIO is located in the historic Mann-Owen house at Four Corners, Penfield, NY, and serves the local community in the areas of greater Rochester.

The studio is equipped with two grand pianos, a digital piano and studio recording equipment, a sitting area for families, cloakroom and restroom, and a library of piano music and books on piano and pianists. The studio has guest parking. Cafes, shops, and other convenient services are nearby.
Three piano study tracks are available. One is for foundational study and the other one is for advanced and gifted students. Once the student demonstrates noticeable progress, talent, and serious interest, the student is moved to the advanced studio where he/she can be prepared for studying music at college or conservatory.

The third track is for accomplished artists who need to be prepared to a successful piano career and/or piano competitions. This two-week program runs in the summer and consists of piano intensives and individual masterclasses (room and board may be available).

...My goal for my students is to help them organize their playing so that they can achieve musical understanding. When they achieve musical understanding, they achieve artistry; and when they achieve the highest level of musical performance, they achieve greatness...
